The ICC was founded by Financial Commission Chairman Peter Tatarnikov in 2017 and joined by members Simon Grunfeld, Steven Hatzakis, Dmitri Turkevich, Bryan Feinberg, Theodosis Mourouzis and Vitaly Bulychev. The ICC and the Financial Commission ICO Certification service was established in 2017 to answer the need for best practices to be established for ICO issuers.
ICC members volunteer to help improve ICC standards for ICO issuers that apply for Financial Commission’s ICO certification service, by following an extensive due diligence process while verifying whether issuers can demonstrate compliance to meet mandatory criteria as required for approval.
Commenting on the announcement, Financial Commission Chairman, Peter Tatarnikov said: “We are delighted to welcome Pavel Salas to the ICC in his new role and look forward to his expertise and guidance in supporting our efforts of improving standards and establishing a baseline of best practices that every ICO issuer should demonstrate as part of the ICO Certification process.”
Over the years Mr. Salas has established himself as an expert in the foreign exchange industry, having held senior positions around the world, including Latin America and Europe at well-known brands such as Alpari, Alfa-Bank, and GKFX. Notably, Mr. Salas developed and managed the Russian and CIS operations of one of the world’s most popular social trading platforms, eToro. More recently Pavel has emerged as a blockchain technology professional, advising such ICO’s as Soundchain and Coinmarket, as well as launching his own advisory, Blockchain Consult, focused on educating companies on the technology and the integration of blockchain in traditional business processes. Several weeks ago Mr. Salas also filled the role of CEO of Tokenbox, having previously held an advisory role in the project.
