October 9th,  2018, The Financial Commission, a leading independent member-driven external dispute resolution (EDR) organization for international online brokerages that participate in global foreign exchange (forex), derivatives, and CFD markets is pleased to announce its recent successful participation at the Trading Show New York, which took place at the Hilton Midtown on September 26th, 2018.

The event brought together over 300 industry professionals from the blockchain, cryptocurrency, automated trading and advanced analytics fields. Numerous keynote speakers from the digital trading and investment community provided insights into the latest industry trends, challenges, and solutions.

Our representatives met in person with event delegates to discuss new blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies, as well as regulatory efforts in the space. Likewise, during the event, we met with representatives of Tradefora, a new provider of trading cost and execution analytics for FX, CFD and cryptocurrency traders. Given the Commission’s continuing goal of increasing transparency for all market participants, our lengthy discussion focused on new approaches to helping traders understand the true costs associated with trading the markets.

Commenting about the event participation, Financial Commission Chairman, Peter Tatarnikov said, “Digital commodity trading and blockchain technology are becoming an ever important topic for the Financial Commission. For this reason, our participation in the Trading Show New York was important to help us to continue formulating our strategy on self-regulatory efforts for digital commodities and financial firms that transact on the blockchain. We look forward to future events both in New York and elsewhere to interact with our professional and regulatory counterparts on improving conditions in these growing new markets.”
