Ultima Markets has set a new benchmark for the financial services sector by launching the first sustainability academy in the CFD industry—an initiative underscoring the firm’s conviction that meaningful progress begins with accessible education for all.

Developed by the Ultima Impact Foundation, the academy represents a pioneering effort to equip traders, investors, and the broader public with practical insights into climate risk, sustainable finance, and environmental stewardship.

Bringing Expertise Beyond University Walls

The academy offers a curated collection of short video lessons delivered by professors from globally renowned universities and leading scientists at the forefront of climate research. Drawing on their extensive expertise in natural capital, nature-based solutions, and climate-related financial risks, each module distills complex topics into clear, actionable lessons.

While much of this knowledge typically remains confined to graduate-level classrooms, Ultima Impact has made it freely available through a dedicated learning section on the Ultima Markets website. The foundation aims to empower individuals everywhere to better understand—and actively engage with—global sustainability challenges.

“Sustainability can feel complex and difficult to grasp, especially for those who are just starting to learn about it. Our goal with the academy is to demystify these topics and make them more approachable and relatable to everyone,” said Jean Philippe, Director of the Ultima Impact Foundation.

“These highly respected scientists and professors carry with them a huge wealth of knowledge, but too often their ideas remain within university walls. We wanted to bring their ideas out into the open, to connect academia with the public in a meaningful manner, thereby inspiring more people to engage, learn and take part in the global sustainability conversation.”

Driving Positive Impact in Finance

This educational initiative is part of Ultima Markets’ broader sustainability agenda. As the first CFD broker to join the United Nations Global Compact, the company has aligned its operations with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, leveraging education and transparency as tools to foster real-world impact.
