Carl started his career on a bond floor at Lehman. From this he moved to a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) with $160 million AUM (part of Commodities Corporation) and later to another CTA with $500 million AUM, focusing on execution, research, and trade idea generation and working beside many of the successful trading groups CC spawned. From here Carl leveraged the experience he gained in options trading to a position on Bank of America’s FX option desk in New York as a trader where he exceeded his budgeted revenue by over 50% each year. Later Carl moved to Prudential to establish and run the Asian FX options desk. He helped to build this desk from $0 to over $6 million in annual revenue in less than 3 years. In 1999 recognizing the changes in FX he moved from institutional to the emerging retail side holding Senior Trader and Director of Business Development roles at GAIN Capital. By late 2002, Carl started Kammas & Company Inc. initially working as a consultant for many Retail Forex Brokers and Hedge Funds both domestically and in Europe including IBFX, FXCM and Saxo. Carl holds a degree in Finance from Albright College and is registered as a Commodity Trading Advisor having held a Series 3 license since 1991.
